Crostoni (toasted slices of bread) with strawberries and stracciatella cheese


Serves 4

  • 8 slices multigrain bread
  • 10 strawberries
  • 220 g stracciatella cheese

For the sauce

  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp mixed flower honey
  • basil
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper


Toast the bread on both sides on a grill to make the “crostoni”. Make the sauce by mixing the balsamic vinegar, mustard, honey and oil together with a spoon. Wash and dry the strawberries and remove the stalk, then slice into rounds.

Place a heaped tablespoon of stracciatella cheese and the sliced strawberries onto each of the “crostoni” and add a pinch of salt and pepper. Season with the sauce and one or two basil leaves.
